Martin Seligman, whose earlier (and fascinating) work was on optimism, has now turned his attention to happiness. To learn more, go to his web site reflectivehappiness.com.

The special 68-page section on happiness (and related topics like resilience) in the January 17, 2005 TIME magazine does a great job of surveying some of the research being done in some of these areas. Your local library should have a copy.

For help understanding perfectionism, I heartily recommend my former colleague Richard Winter's book Perfecting Ourselves to Death.

Yet more evidence that what you think about shapes your attitude and perceptions: "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" in the December 29, 2005 New York Times.

You were hoping for more resources, weren't you. I was, too. But this is what I have for now. I hope to add more. But for now you've got something, and you should feel pretty good about that! (Of course, in the meantime, you could invite me to talk to your group!)
